HEARD Systems is closely held by founding shareholders, a Sydney based venture capital firm, and angel investors.
Venture and angel funding of $1.75M was raised in early 2010, which complements support from a Meat and Livestock Australia funded Project.
The HEARD Systems Board currently includes Roger Allen (www.a-b.com.au/People.aspx), CEO & Research Director Richard Shephard.
Product Development and Commercialisation activities are progressing as planned:
- beta prototypes of the ePreg handheld unit are undergoing verification and validation for pregnancy testing accuracy rates, age of foetal detection, foetal ageing, product robustness, ease of operation by farmers, and other parameters.
- key patent applications have been filed. All intellectual property is owned by HEARD.
