HEARD Systems is closely held by founding shareholders, with the remaining shares held by a Sydney based venture capital firm.

Development is progressing as planned;

- key patents have been filed

- field prototypes of the handheld device in use

- accuracy and field validation studies scaling up

- productisation of beta product underway

Patents filed to date cover inventive steps around sensors and systems of capture, detection, and processing bio-acoustic and electrocardiogram signals. All intellectual property is beneficially owned by HEARD.

Venture and angel funding of $1.75M was raised in early 2010, which complements support from a Meat and Livestock Australia funded Project.
